Ishimpur Hammamkhana

This ancient Hammankhana is located near the Jessorewari temple in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira district. This building was a double-decked building, the first floor used for living and the ground floor used as Hammamkhana. On the bottom floor there was a well and two ponds, one of which had hot water and the cold water system on the other. The water was supplied to the Hammamkhana from the well and the cobbler. There were 2 large domes and 4 small domes in the building. King Pratapaditya was believed to have built this Hammamkhana. It is to be noted that the Hammamkhana is a type of bath room, where there is a hot and cold water system.
